The global economy was hit hard by the coronavirus.

As the global economy came to a standstill,

consumption dropped drastically,

and corporate activity slowed down.

Overseas travel decreased sharply,

and the travel and airline industries took a huge hit. (큰 타격을 입다)

=> hit 명사로 받고, take를 어울리는 동사로 받았다.

The situation went from bad to worse due to the oil shock.

=> go from A to B : bad에서 worse(bad의 비교급)로 갔다

The global stock market fell into a panic because of all this.

As uncertainty grew, market crashes continued day after day(연일).

The drop was so persistent that there was no end in sight.

In just a matter of weeks, (생각보다 원어민들이 많이 쓰더라, 단지 몇 주사이에)

On one day, the U.S stock market suffered the biggest drop in history.

Because of the stock market's steep decline,

trillions of dollars went up in smoke(증발하다).

1. Do you invest in stocks? Why or why not?

- I invenst in stocks

- I don't have much money, So There is little money on my stock account.

- I majored International business

- That means that I have much interest in investing something and economy

- When I see the Korean stock market, It's very interesting

- It feels that I'd love to invest something

2. How can people find reliable information about the stock market?

- If a question is easy, the answer is going to be easy

- but this question is very difficult actually

- As for me, I think myself

- There is no reilable informantion on stock market

- Just believe in yourself and invest

3. What are some other ways people invest their money?

- I prefer investing real-estate to stock market.

- Real-estate is much more safer than stock market.

- but It cost you a lot to invest

- Both ways, We have to be careful when we invest something
